The Engine Inn is often praised for its convenient location providing valley views. Guests frequently highlight the spacious rooms, especially the cottage-style rooms in the building behind the pub, some of which open directly onto the garden with a kid's park. Many enjoyed the food, finding both the evening meals and breakfasts to be tasty and reasonably priced; some guests, however, noted issues with the sofa bed's comfort. The freshly cooked breakfasts, including the butcher's sausage, are also mentioned as a great value.

Cottage-Like Charm and Friendly Faces!

Our room felt very cottage-like and it included a double bed with a double pull out sofa. I loved the spaciousness of the top room, and the door opening directly onto the garden was a plus. I found the view of the countryside with its cows beautiful. Breakfast tasted wonderful. Dinner was reasonably priced.
I noted the car park was located opposite the pub. Though the location was convenient, it could be noisy depending on the number of customers.
